Here you are:

You have to start up Ms-dos, but I guess thats not a big problem.

I forgot one thing. You allso need to use the following program:
http://www.chromerhino.demon.co.uk/adfopus/
The first program translates the dms file into an adf file (as Trond
described), and the second program is a nice program for extracting
files from adf files.

Please don't do this again. If I wanted to download a binary, I would've
subscribed to a binary newsgroup.

In general it's rather inpolite to make several hundreds or thousands
of users to manually stop downloading a message which contains
something they do not want to waste their download time, instead of
just doing like it's been done a long time; putting file available on
www/ftp server or posting it to a binary newsgroup.
Sure, it gives a bit more trouble to _one_ person, but saves the time
of hundreds or thousands of other persons, which is rather sensible...

Some people (like me) download all the news in a single batch, without having
to click on each and every header. The messages are then read offline. With
telephone costs being what they are, this strategy makes a lot of sense -
except when people start posting big binaries. So please don't do that.
