I recently bought myself a copy of Cloanto's (PC) software Amiga Forever,
which includes the Amiga Explorer - which doesn't quite work here :(
My PC (with Win XP) with my Amiga 500 via null-modem cable. After entering
"SER: to RAM:Setup" in a shell window and starting the "Setup" procedure
on the PC side, Amiga Forever transfers some data, which seems to arrive
properly on the Amiga, because a new window (on the Amiga workbench,
titled "AExplorer") pops up showing some parameters of a serial
connection. Right after this I get the message "Serial connection connot
be opened" on Amiga :(
Any ideas what could be wrong? I played a lot with the COM port settings
both on the Amiga and PC side to no end - and they can't be totally wrong
after all, since the initial transfer went fine ...
Thanks for any hints.

Ciao,

You should type "Type SER: to RAM:Setup", not "SER: to RAM:Setup".
Follow the on-screen instructions and the troubleshooting notes at
http://cloanto.com/kb/4-109.html, and it is guaranteed to work.
