Is FTPmount normally useable over a LAN? Is this a restriction of the
unregistered version?
Thanks!!

Yes, it works over LAN (if not, then it wouldn't work over the net either). Have
you thought about that the Mac don't use Amiga Icons, so you have to change the
window to show ALL files, so it will show a def_icon for each file.

I wish it were that simple, but it doesn't show ANY files, not just icon files. Obviously a visual aid is required. Compare the outputs of an FTP listing of the Owner home directory vs. a DIR command after FTPmounting the same directory with the same username and priveleges. I boldfaced the areas that were in common.

You see, it's not an access issue or a Workbenh issue, the files simply DO NOT APPEAR on an FTPmounted partition on my LAN. FTPmount works fine over the Internet.
Please offer any advice!

Oki, then it was worse than I thought. There shouldn't be any differnces between
LAN and Internet, both do work in the same way. Or by the way, I think it could
have something to do with the priv-set, try to change one of the files to
-rw-rw-rw- and see what happens, if that file appear or not in the listning, for
it could be some strange bug in FTPmount which only shows files/directories
which are set to be useble for all users.
