Toccata emulation will be available for Delfina cards soon.
Of course no extra charge for current Delfina owners (Classic or
Lite). See http://www.sci.fi/~petsoff for an update.

Currently only the basic functions are emulated. It works with
Samplitude and OctaMed Soundstudio so far.

Making a fully compatible toccata emulation is somewhat difficult
because some of the functions aren't documented or even have incorrect
documentation.

How can we ever get rid of this lousy toccata software if everyone's
writing emulations for it? :-)

We don`t, too. Unfortunately use is limited if somebody codes directly to
the hardware (or makes use of a specific driver). Actual soundboards are
using better algorithms for hardware access. A cloned toccata.library
won`t give you such benefit. People`d better try to do some hardware
abstraction and offer an easy way to add drivers for special hardware or
use AHI as a common base.

We`re allways looking for apps and tools to include to the distribution
of Melody. Please mail me if you`re happy to see your program on the
CD, too.

I lost contact to the makers of Camouflage. I know they`re living near
to me, but I lost the email...help anybody?!

Camouflage AB uses the macroaudio.library. This library is not a toccata.lib-clone, but
a new (better) library. It think its better then AHI.

The next versions of Camouflage AB will support:
1. Prelude - using the prelude.library
2. Defina - using the deflina.library
3. AHI - there is a problem installing AHI (installer error) !?!

The whole point of a cloned toccata.lib is instant access to a bunch of software, but you do have a point.

Unfortunately AHI isn't perfect solution yet. I think it still needs a LOT of work. The idea is great though, but it's CPU intensive.
Workbench could do with integrated AHI, CyberGFX and MUI, and a 400MHz PPC ;)

mixing audio channels will always be pretty cpu intensive, AHI contains an
audio system similar to that of octamed SS.

as for 400Mhz PPC, we just need a Z3 DMA dsp sound card to do the mixing etc,

wait and see, that card could be here before the end of the year. ;)

Now that's interesting. Will CamAB then support the DSP functions on Delfina for realtime HD-Rec effects ?

Sounds like you're not using the v43 installer. It's available from
Aminet and the ahi hompe page.
