I have tried transferring IBM 4137 RAM (2GB pair) from an H80 to a model B80
and it is rejected. Verbally, IBM is telling me it is possible. A firmware
upgrade did not help. We're at AIX433 ML-011 if it's relevant.
Any advice would be appreciated.

According to the B80 Users Guide:

Memory
256 MB (minimum) to 16 GB (maximum)
Up to two memory cards with 16 memory modules each is possible (the
memory
modules must be installed in matched pairs)

If there are 2 memory riser cards and a maximum system memory of 16GB,
that would mean that the largest DIMM you could use is 512MB.
