Hi,

I replaces my A3000's DD (800K max) floppy drive with the high denisty drive
from my old A3010 (took a while to get through the casing!), it works fine,
but ADFS still shows the drive to be 800k max not 1.6MB.

Any Thoughts??

The disc controller in the A3000 does not support the high density mode,
so it will not help fitting a floppy drive that can. HD support has to
be in both.

I'm interested in giving my A3000 a HD interface - anyone got an upgrade kit
or something for sale?
Can I transplant the controller from my A3010 into my A3000?

Canobolising a A3010 to put bits in a A3000? I presume your A3000 must
be arm3 upgraded or the A3010 has gone duff.

The A3010 is faster, better monitor support, 1.6meg floppy drive,
bidirectional printer port, full usable serial port, joystick ports
and is better built to boot.
