Take a look at
http://www.comlab.ox.ac.uk/oucl/users/robin.watts/Docs/Arc/ADFS/EFormat.html

for details of Acorn disc format - there are other documents nearby

To read a Mac DD floppy, you've gotta have a drive that can vary its
speed, and a 'standard' PC floppy drive just doesn't cut it.

What is a Catweasel FDC Controller anyway? :)

You should be able to find out more at:

That's if you use a standard blinkered approach. The alternative, which the
Catweasel does, is to use a PC drive, but redesign the floppy controller so
it can handle almost any data rate. After all, all a PC floppy drive is is a
almost totally unintelligent set of stepper motors and some signal
amplifiers.

Err. Yes but the floppy drive *does* contain the electronics to spin the
disk at a constant rate.
Of course, if its the data discrimator you've redesigned good luck to
you. That way you've got a chance of it working. And on amiga floppies
too.(Which are admittly easier).
I missed the orginal post. But I have some Mac DD disks and some small
documentation on them (inside Mac I-3). If that's what you're looking
for. (But I have no way to copy the disks).
