What type of leads? VGA leads? VGA does not carry mouse or keyboard
signals, so this is unsurprising. Please give details of all
connections and cable choices, as well as the KVM you have selected.

I was given the wrong advice from where I purchased the Cable by the

The cable was a 15 pin Analogue Monitor Lead I need to return by what
You are saying.

I have no idea. You've not described what you've got, what you're
trying to do, and what your previous advice is. It's all guesswork at
the moment.

I have a 4 way KVM Switch connected to
1 Risc Pc
1 Iyonix
1 Pc (windows)
I am wanting to move the Risc Pc further away from the KVM Switch
(MyHopper) 4 way
also I am have the save problems with the Pc I am unable to get the
Mouse from that extension I thought that it was the New Pc and some
Driver not working properly because I am have problems with that but
that is another story.
The Extension I bought was VGA Cable (15 pin) Male Female. I thought
that 1 15 pin Cable Extension would have done the trick - but I was
wrong.
If you need any more details let me now

I don't think Rob is correct in this instance. I had a KVM once that used a
15 pin VGA lead (with PS2 breakouts at the computer end) to connect between
the KVM box and the computers. It utilised unused pins in the VGA lead to
send mouse and keyboard signals and saved having two PS2 cables per
computer.
Whether or not it will work with an extention I don't know, but I suspect
maybe not.

What you want to ask for is an extra-long KVM lead. This has both
video and input connectors. You'll need to explain to the shop the
precise connections you require (for example, VGA, and two PS/2
peripheral connectors) including the sexes at *both* ends, due to the
variation of KVM gender.

What an ugly hack. I wonder if you got video disruption when you
wiggled your mouse, or if keyboard input became unreliable when the
screen was animated. :)

At one end of the lead from the KVM (the lead at the computer end) you will
see that there are 3 connectors. One is a VGA one - the others are for
keyboard and mouse. There is no reason why you can't extend these 3
individually. So, the lead you've bought is fine for the monitor, you just
need extenders for the mouse & keyboard.

If that was a MyHopper, it wasn't a VGA lead: it was a custom lead which
happend to use a compact 15-way D at the KVM end.

It would, if the 15 pin extension connects each lead straight through with
no assumptions about the usage of the pins in the VGA standard.
Unfortunately, there are a couple of cost-saving assumptions for an
extension lead that I could think of having looked at the VGA standard which
might well upset a MyHopper's illicit pin usage. Remember that the 15 way
connectors at the KVM end don't have to look anything like a VGA pinout, as
long as the VGA connecter at the other end of the lead does.
