This might be one for the books, but my computer seriously sounds like
it's making coffee. I've checked and it's not. But it still sounds
like it.
Whenever I spin the hard drive (Western Digital 120GB) it makes
percolating noises. I've tightened the mounts, blew dust away.. it's
pretty new too, maybe 6 months. Anything?

Ditch the computer and look here www.iyonix.com or here
www.microdigital.co.uk. After all, that is why you asked an Acorn
computer newsgroup to help you ;-) .

Where are the Acorn computers on these sites? ;-)

(Ok apart from the A7000+ but you probably get my point).

What relevance does this have to a csa newsgroup?
Please use the appropriate newsgroup for PC hardware.

If this is when you are running the OS, I would replace it with one
that works properly, if however it does it all the time, I would back
up the data and do a warranty claim.

The drive could have failed due to overheating, caused by energy
inefficient processors and an OS that thrashes it hard. To avoid these
problems (and the resultant dust caused by the unfiltered air sucked
in from every orrofice) replace your system with one designed properly
- no x86 and no Windows - such as an ACORN or compatible.
