The first release of RiscOS for the Pi is fantastic - well done guys.

Everything seems to work well and response is very snappy - as good as if not better than Iyonix.

Network over DHCP just works - network printers up and running via ethernet (don't know what ethernet over USB means!)

Boot up says 'keyboard not detected' but works OK.

Can we arrange for more ram to be used than 128MB, particularly with the 512MB Pi?

Can we somehow use the extra memory on SD cards > 2GB? Mine is 8GB.

Machine freezes trying to write to Fat32 stick.

Still, for a first release pretty amazing

Do you have Fat32Fs installed? Now at v. 1.40 I think.

It means that the Pi has a USB network adaptor on board. (i.e. You
could get a model A Pi and plug a USB dongle of the same type in and
there would be no difference.)

Get that on My Iyonix.

With the new firmware you need to edit config.txt

Should all be correct on a forthcoming download (and should be updated
on existing installs via packman before too long.)

New version of FAT32FS is supposed to be able to use it as an extra
partition.

Perhaps check it on a PC or Mac?

It's a legacy of the ROM OS build having to look for PS2 style / bus
connected keyboard and mouse. I think the message could be removed.

Maybe wishful thinking, but is there any possibility of Impression running on
it?

Impression Publisher runs fine on a Beagleboard or Pandaboard with Aemulor.
So assuming that Aemulor is released at some point for the Raspberry Pi
then yes.

Hi,

The problem we had was our SD card manufacturer took longer than expected to
get us the cards so we didn't have them in time for the show (partially our
fault for not finalising the image fast enough).

We should have the cards any day now (tm) and the extra good news is we'll
be imaging them with the _next_ official release, which addresses a number
of issues found in the first one.

Ta,

Steve

Is there any way of buying them other than via Paypal?

Just use the existing PayPal mechanism and then simply "checkout" rather
than paying by PayPal. That way, you can just pay for them on a card without
having to have a PayPal account.

I don't, but have kb connected direct to back USB socket. IIRC this
message happens if a hub is used for kb. You have a hub?
