Are Blasts of the xtreme working on anything?
What's happening with Equinox from Jason tribbeck?
I read somewhere that Bill kotsias (Fantasia Fan) is working on a
game, how's that going?
Blasts of the Xtreme do have a few in the works, we can't discuss much at
the present time.

Equinox I'm still intending on doing - it's just that my car has taken
priority.
If I find I'm unable to complete it, I'll release the source so others can.

I was hoping Quake 2 would progress to some form of completion. It
wouldn't be a bad demonstration for the Iyonix, old though the game
is.

With what I've seen so far, Equinox could certainly become a commercial
product. What price would you charge for it if it was to be completed?
> Are Blasts of the xtreme working on anything?
Well as Sion said we are working on somethings and I am working on a
text adventure called !OldFish (any segestons on a better name would
be appreciated) which is a game about the history of fish and
particularly the Lung Fish, more news as I start the games story
mode(haven't got to that part yet) and this game has buttons rather
than keywords to type all day,
Tell us more about this game. Will it be released commercialy or as
freeware? How many locations are you aiming to have? Is there a
release date set for !OldFish? Will the game contain music and
graphics? What language are you using to make this game or are you
using a text adventure creator like Trellis?

Thanks for that - I don't think I will do it as a commercial product
(there's a lot of work involved apart from the programming to
commercialise it).
I may do a limited edition CD release, with the game, and the music (as
it came out of the synthesizers) as a dual-mode CD in a box. However,
they'll be hand-made (I don't think that it's worth it unless it's a
large commercial release). That would probably be £5-10 depending on how
much effort it is for me to make them.
What computers will Equinox be compatible with?
I have kept my money off voucher!!

A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking.
> What computers will Equinox be compatible with?
I've used it on StrongARM Risc PC, and A9; it's been known to work with
Iyonix.
Should work on machines slower than SA, but may be a bit jerky.
Needs 16-bit sound system.

It's going fine, thank you. :-)
Our game is a quite original concept, it is the 3D version of
a very popular action-puzzle game with lots of new stuff that
would not be possible in the 2D version.
We are collaborating with a software house to release the game
on both RISC OS and Windows platforms.
Kind regards,
Bill
does Fantasia Fan have a website? I've googled but haven't been able
to find it. Also, what price will the Acorn and Pc version sell for?
one idea is having the Risc Os version and the windows version on the
same cd which can be bought in a good gameshop. Do you have an idea of
when this game will be released?
Not yet, we will of course announce it when it becomes available.
> Also, what price will the Acorn and Pc version sell for?
Price will be in the low-to-medium range.
> one idea is having the Risc Os version and the windows version on the

We are considering a double-format CD, too.
> Do you have an idea of when this game will be released?
It's scheduled for this autumn.
Kind regards,
Bill
What computer will you need to run it? you say it uses 3D graphics,
will it be Iyonix only or will it run on slower machines too?
It would be nice if you could release a demo too.
The graphics engine is designed to run in any available resolution
so theoritically it will be playable on ARM6 systems, albeit in
very low detail.
> It would be nice if you could release a demo too.
We will definitely look into it.
Cheers,
Bill
Sounds brilliant! Do you have plans for any other games after this
project?
Man Down, Xtreme Soccer 2008 and OldFish are set for a SE2007 release.
There might also be other releases at the show but I cannot talk about
them at this time.
The sales of the Risc OS version will never be very high, please don't
be discouraged by the amount of sales.
I am not sure what to do with my games.
I started to develop Sumisu San in 1998 and after selling it to VOTI
in 1999 not much happend with the game.
Officialy, all the development done by VOTI is lost and I need to
write my games from where I left them.
Sumisu San is worth a commercial release.
Beside Sumisu San there are two smaller games in development wich will
be released in 2007 as freeware and we are developing three bigger
games but I am not sure I can finish these in 2007. (probably not)
I hope to bring more info on my new games on my website
(www.nanoking.nl/gek) this week!
