I have found the free download of Spheres of Chaos:
http://www.spheresofchaos.com/
But it works only on RiscPCs. I have a A3010 computer with 2 MB RAM and
I'm sure there was at that time a version for A-models like my A3010.
Is there a free version as download?
Best regards
Amin

CJE micros will probably be able to sell you a copy.
Alternatively there was demo version done for one of the magazine
cover disks.

I'm pretty sure that a full version of SoC appeared on an Acorn User
coverdisk....

I only recall seeing a demo version.
A full version of Interdictor was released. However if memory serves
it had a rather annoying colour chart protection system included.
On 17 Nov 2009 as I do recall,

I have this freebie version, which works perfectly on an A5000. I
don't know if it would work on a 2Mb machine.

I remember playing it on (I think) a 2mb A3020. Might need to free up
as much memory as possible - Setting the screen mode to 0 for those
extra precious few kbs.
Has anybody else got the newer version of SoC? I got it years ago at
the Epsom Downs show but it seemed to have quite a muted launch. It
needs a minimum RPC to run - older machines just won't have the memory.
I had it. When I had an A5000 I bought the first retail version when it
first came out, and then upgraded it whenever Iain McLeod brought out a
newer version. Some of the upgrades were paid for, but I didn't mind as
it was well worth it.
I have just recently downloaded it for the PC so I can relive the many
hours of fun I have had with it.
I think Iain is working on a new version, according to his website...:-D

I did email him about the original Archimedes version, but didn't get a
response as yet.

Yes, it was. I played it on my first Archimedes, an A5000.

I don't know. Just have the RiscPC Version.
It's one of the few games for RISC OS which I like.

It's a shame the RISC OS version has fallen behind the PC version.
It's utterly fantastic, even as a screensaver for my son! I hope the
new version he mentions on his website is even better.
