An updated version of !GoLinux is now available from Elesar.
This application allows owners of Elesar's award winning Titanium motherboard
to jump straight from the RISC OS desktop into Debian (Jessie) without
needing to reflash or remove any memory.
This makes your machine dual purpose, starting up in the familiar RISC OS
5.23 but with the option to try out Linux for those situations where there's
no direct RISC OS equivalent program.
In this update, version 1.03, there's reduced unnecessary debug chatter
which shaves a couple of seconds off the boot time, useful because
Linux's larger footprint takes longer than RISC OS to start up.
Downloading
-----------
The GoLinux application is available at no cost from the resources section of
the Titanium product page
http://shop.elesar.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=51
or directly from
http://support.elesar.co.uk/downloads/golinux.zip
You'll also need a copy of Linux of course, and we've published the sources
to the Titanium build on GitHub to roll your own
https://github.com/elesar-uk/titanium-build
or to save the hassle it's available ready to run on a micro SD card too
http://shop.elesar.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=62
since Titanium holds RISC OS in flash ROM the micro SD card socket is by
default free for use.
