R-Comp Interactive annouce Anthem MIDI Sequencer

R-Comp Interactive is pleased to announce that their new Anthem
MIDI Sequencer will be available at the Wakefield show this weekend!

Anthem is a sophisticated new MIDI sequencing tool, working on the
concept of musical "phrases". Once a phrase has been created or
recorded, it can be played back on any instrument with different
pan, reverb, transposition, quantise and other effects. This is
especially useful for building up repeated drum tracks, or repeating
melodies on different instruments with different transpositions.

Anthem also supports the inclusion of digital audio streams, which
can be played direct from disc (and hence be larger than physical
RAM). They can be played back at different frequencies and stereo
positions to suit.

Anthem allows for MIDI recording/playback via many different
instruments, although it will still work on a machine with no
MIDI present!

Music can be edited in a number of views:

Piano roll editor

Sophisticated MIDI event list editor

Drum track editor

Step mode editor

New "Stave Roll" editor - notes are represented as "bars" as
in a piano roll editor, but are show on standard musical staves
making it much easier for traditional musicians.

Sophisticated quantising, shifting and effects handling is supported,
alongside a real-time mixing desk, VU bars and other on-screen
gadgets.

There is no limit to the number of tracks, and files can be loaded/saved
as either Anthem files or MIDI files. Obviously MIDI files cannot contain
digital audio.

Although Anthem is a highly sophisticated (yet surprising easy to use)
product, complete with a 120 page spiral bound manual with contents,
index, glossary and tutorial, we've kept the price to a nice low
price - just 70ukp inc VAT!

In addition, since Anthem was written by the same person who wrote the
old Trax Sequencer (although Anthem is a complete new product!), we're
happy to offer Anthem to Trax customers for just 50ukp inc VAT!

Finally, in order to back up our commitment to RISC OS music making,

Anthem is fully compatible with RISC OS 3.1 and higher machines, and
has been fully tested on RISC OS 4. It also has a modern RISC OS 4
look and feel.
