RISCubes and RISCBooks now available with Windows 7 as well as RISC OS

combining the elegance and convenience of RISC OS, with the "outside
world" compatibility of Windows. Until now, all our systems have
shipped with Windows XP as the "Windows Bit" rather than the generally
disdained Vista.
Last month, Microsoft released a replacement for Vista called Windows
7, and whilst (be under no delusions!) this is "Vista Polished", not
some magical new replacement, it is nevertheless "better than Vista".
Not that that is saying much!
Anyway, we know that a number of customers have been waiting for Vista
to "pass" before getting a new computer, and so we're now letting
everyone know that we are able to offer RISCubes and RISCBooks with
Windows 7 as the "Windows Bit", effective immediately (machines are
already going out with Win7).
However, this doesn't mean the end for XP, by any means. In many
cases, it is still much lighter-weight than Win7, and therefore gives
better preformance/boot-times etc. We're also well aware that many
customers prefer "tried and tested" to "new and shiny"! After all,
we're selling reliable systems, and RISC OS users are used to solid
operating systems which just keep on working.
So, it's your choice! We'll talk you through the pros/cons, so that
you make an informed choice, and we'll listen to your needs and
requirements to ensure you get the right computer for you.
Oh, and we've just had some new models/components in, which has helped
us reduce prices on RISCBooks and RISCubes, and offer even more for
your money! (The luxury High Resolution screen on our cheaper
custom-built laptop range is spectacular, and affordable too!)
