I am pleased to announce that version 1.10 of TranJPEG is now
available.
TranJPEG is a WIMP front-end for the IJPG command-line utility
'jpegtran' and gives easy access to the features of the utility. It
allows JPEG images to be transformed in a number of ways in a lossless
process.
The transformations include rotation, reflection, and transposing
images. There is also an AUTO rotate option, which depends on the
image containing exif data with orientation information.
TranJPEG allows a selection of images to be transformed in a batch
process that occurs in the background.
TranJPEG has been tested successfully on the Iyonix, the BeagleBoard
and the RaspberryPi.
This application has been produced as a result of various discussions
in the newsgroups on ways of rotating jpeg images in a batch process,
when some older software no longer worked on modern hardware such as
the BB.
The main changes in this release are:
* Destination directory of transformed images now set by drag and drop
* Option to write back new orientation data when using auto-rotate
Updated help files include all the changes.
