Prophet, the comprehensive business accounts package for RISC OS written by
Quentin Pain, is now available from Elesar.

Today sees the release of version 3.94.

About the Prophet3+ application
-------------------------------
Prophet integrates far too many features to fit into a press release, but in
brief
* Manage customer/client details in the customer database
* Manage supplier details in the supplier database
* Raise purchase orders against suppliers, or invoice clients automatically
* Customise the look of your (printed) templates
* Track bank and cash balances
* Reconcile accounts at month or period end
* Keep warehouse stock levels under control
* Print custom labels for SKUs you hold in stock
* Compute VAT returns for HMRC
* Generate fully journaled year end reports for your accountant
* Built in calculator and currency converter
* Support retail sales for a shop or retail counter
* Define standing orders and let Prophet add accounting entries for you

While some of the concepts are UK-centric, the program is highly configurable
so if you call sales tax (VAT) something else, or it's not 20%, these can be
changed to suit your local defaults.

Recent changes
--------------
Since Quentin's last release (3.92 in April 2003) we've made a number of
initial updates
* New icon sprites for RISC OS 4 and 5
* Removed checks that it's running on Virtual Acorn or Iyonix - all machines
supported provided there's 4MB or more RAM
* Fixed to be fully 32 bit compatible (run without needing Aemulor)
* Fixed to not write to the system timer
* Updates to current tax rates as at 2018
* Menus and buttons enlarged in line with the Style Guide
* Removed RISC OS 2 support, along with other internal simplifications
* Re-assigned the hotkeys which clashed with OS hotkeys

We've also revised the 262 page manual with new screen captures and more up
to date text.
