3 New Games from RCI at Wakefield!

R-Comp Interactive are pleased to announce that 3 brand new
big-name leisure software titles will be shown for the first
time at the show. We shall be accepting orders for all three,
although time constraints have prevented us getting final product
together for the show...

(Please note that the website won't be updated until after Wakefield,
as there simply aren't enough hours in a day!)

Acorn QUAKE
===========

It had to come. id's action masterpiece, complete with multi-player
mayhem. And Acorn users will be able to get their sticky mits not
only on the original, but also the Malice and Q-Zone! add-on's in one
limited edition collector's set.

In line with rumour, the Acorn driver shipping with Acorn Quake has
been developed by TBA software alongside RCI.

We expect Acorn Quake to RRP around 35ukp and boxes (with CDs and
manuals) will be availble to take away at the Wakefield show, with
the driver disks being sent on shortly afterwards.

BTW, it's really going to be SA only for acceptable frame rates.

Acorn SYNDICATE+
================

A project that we've been keeping under wraps for a while,
Bullfrog/EA's best-selling action/strategy game is now ready for
RiscOS! The Acorn version has been approved by Bullfrog/EA, and
will be on show at Wakefield.

The Acorn version is somewhat enhanced since the original, with
crisper, cleaner graphics, better scrolling, re-orchestrated
General MIDI music (the original was FM midi and doesn't sound too
good by today's standards!) and 640x480 graphics throughout.

The game requires an 8Mb RiscPC (or A7000) with a CD drive, and
an SVGA monitor. We hope to produce an 8Mb A5000 version shortly.

For those unfamiliar with Syndicate+, it is yet another example
of Bullfrog's (whose previous hits include Populous and more)
amazing talent for game design. The game puts you in charge of
a ruthless syndicate in a dark future. By guiding your team
of cybernetically enhanced agents through a series of exciting
missions, you fight for global domination. As you progress,
you must levy taxes on your territories, and research new
and exciting technologies.

A unique blend of action and strategy, Acorn Syndicate+ will
be running at the show, although boxes etc. have not yet
arrived.

Acorn ABUSE
===========

The full version of EA/Crack Dot Com's exciting arcade game will
also be running at Wakefield! The retail version of this fast
action title features dynamic lighting, resolution independence
(play up to 1024x768 !!!), a whole host of new levels, new sound
effects, challenging difficulty settings, and even a RiscOS desktop
level editor. Crikey, you can even play the game in a window!

With optimizations and improvements aplenty, this is yet another
example of RiscOS users playing top-notch games even better than
the PC originals!

Abuse is designed to run on 8Mb RiscPC Systems. Arm710
recommended.
