Heroes 2 : The Price of Loyalty (Exp Pack) now available

R-Comp Interactive is pleased to announce that Heroes of Might and Magic 2:
"The Price of Loyalty" will be available from 1st October (Friday). This
is an expansion pack for Heroes of Might and Magic 2 (aka "The Succession Wars"),
and requires the original to run.

Unlike many game expansion packs, HoMM2:PoL is not just a set of extra maps,
although there are many of these included! The feature list includes:

4 new campaigns - 2 long (8 mission) campaigns and 2 short (4 mission)
ones, complete with cut scene graphics

Many new artifacts to find - one of the great things about HoMM2 is
finding artifacts to power up your heroes. PoL introduces many more!
Also included is a multi-part artifact - on its own each part is
powerful, together they are dynamite!

There's lots pf new map structures - the Arena, Sirens, Stables,
Alchemists Tower, Hut/Eye of the Magi, and Password doors/tents to
name a few. The latter allow careful blocking of maps for more
puzzle based gameplay, and exciting showdowns!

New creature recruitment centres for Elementals, Ghosts (yes, really!)
and more...

Necromancer castle has a new structure (to compensate for the lack of
a tavern) - The Evil Shrine.

All new heroes and hero graphics

New CD audio tracks

Updated map editor for new features.


Oh, and a whole lot of new maps taking advantage of the new features!!!

Crikey! That's not bad for an expansion pack to a game already voted
"Best Game of 1998/9" by the Acorn community.

What's more, we've got hold of the deluxe US edition of the pack (again!
- as we did with Heroes 2) so you get a full, printed manual (!)
laminated reference card, and big box.

Acorn-specific installation instructions are included, as well as
an installation disc jam-packed with new data!

And how much is this little bundle of joy going to cost you - apart
from many late nights and lack of sleep that is? Just 22ukp inc VAT
and UK delivery. Given that this pack was sold on the PC for 25ukp in
gaming stores like Electronics Boutique, that can't be a bad deal
can it?

Heroes of Might and Magic 2 is, of course still available, and a
bundle of the two can be yours for 52ukp (inc VAT and UK P+P), a
saving of 5ukp.
