Acorn User Announcements - 11th February 1999
---------------------------------------------

Archimedes World Back Issues
--
Having let the dust settle over the posting of 18th January, we now
have a definitive list of back issues up on the Acorn User website:

http://www.acornuser.com/issues/back.html

The order form has now been revised to include Acorn User binders,
which we also have available in stock. The form is available in HTML,
Acorn Drawfile, and (thanks to Ghostscript) Adobe PDF format.

Acorn Southwest Show - February 20th
--
Steve Turnbull and new assistant editor Dunstan Orchard will be
attending the show, taking place at the Webbington Hotel, Loxton,
North Somerset, on the above date.

Browser survey
--
On the front page of the Acorn User website is a small survey to
determine whether you like tables, frames, both or neither in
webpages. The survey will be left online over the next month or so,
when I'll collate the results and upload them somewhere on the website.

Website disruption
--
The Acorn User and Tau Press websites will not be maintained between
20th February and 9th March, as myself, the webmaster will be away on
holiday.

Current Free Ads will remain online until 10th March, later than usual,
when they will be removed to make way for other ads.

Any correspondence will not be replied to upon my return on 10th March.
Ad setting for the April issue will be performed by Dunstan Orchard
(with a little help from Steve Turnbull).

March 1999 issue
--
The next issue of Acorn User is due on sale next Thursday, 18th February.
This, and subsequent issues, will revert to normal cover floppy discs.
UK Subscribers should start to receive issues over the next week or so.
Dealer copies will be sent out, as soon as sales reports are returned,
and payments are settled (if paying by cheque).

Eternal Destiny
--
Tau Press are now the official publisher of Rob Templeman's 3d action
game. Retailing at 30ukp (UK), 31ukp (Europe), and 33ukp (World), Destiny
comes on one CD-ROM, and is suitable for Risc PCs and A7000+ machines,
although a StrongARM is recommended for enhanced gameplay.

Enjoy Valentines Day.
