Have you visited http://www.riscos.info/ recently? riscos.info
aims to be a comprehensive source of RISC OS material, news and
projects. Anyone with an account can contribute.

Highlights:

News - riscos.info has published around 100 news items in the last few
months, with items nearly every day. Best of all, as long as
it's RISC OS related, anyone can publish their own news item.
If you'd prefer, items can be sent directly to myself for
editing.

Some recent items:

Information about the "new Acorn Computers"
Coverage of potential new RISC OS hardware
Coverage of nearly every RISC OS software update
Speculation about RISC OS 6 on new hardware
The Vala programming language

Calendar - riscos.info incorporates a Google Calendar
(http://www.riscos.info/index.php/RISC_OS:Current_events)
which is meant to be a comprehensive calendar of all RISC OS
events. Let me know if there's someone you want included.

Ports - riscos.info hosts the GCCSDK project and related
ports. Most software is now available via RiscPkg.

General RISC OS Topics - The riscos.info wiki includes
numerous RISC OS related articles including:

Introduction to RISC OS
SSH (Secure shell) solutions
Notes on Simtec USB handling
C/GCC on RISC OS
Unicode in RISC OS
Filename handling across different systems
Suggestions on how to create a Beagle Board based laptop.

All articles can be edited and improved by contributors.

RISC OS software hosting - riscos.info hosts several projects
in whole or part (including subversion, mailing lists)
including AMPlayer, Cretin, RPCEmu, DeskLib, WinEd. riscos.info
will host your Open Source RISC OS project too if you wish.

Coming soon:

* Improvements for bug reporting. We hope to make it easy for users
to contribute bug reports/feature improvements
against riscos.info projects (including Mozilla Firefox).

* Games ports - riscos.info will be reporting on what it has
done for its "Christmas Games Proposal". Some of this work
has already been released

Finally, a note on what riscos.info doesn't accept:

- Generic ARM or OS device news, unless it's at least superficially
or potentially RISC OS in nature.

- OS-level API documentation (unless it really doesn't fit elsewhere).
Head on over to the RISCOS Open wiki for that instead.

- Anonymous items, or items with questionable copyright (software or
otherwise). riscos.info prefers user accountability.

Thanks for visiting.
