Skullsoft Software has released a new shareware game - Xenocide.

The Unregistered version can be downloaded from the Software pages on our
website:

http://www.eganc.demon.co.uk/skullsoft/soft_games.htm

Xenocide is broken down into two separate archives, the first (about
1070K) contains the game and the first two stages (Mars), and the second
(306K) contains a further two stages (Space) which can be added to the
unregistered version by simply dragging the update over a previously
installed copy of Xenocide. Xenocide will function without the extra
levels.

Xenocide:

Xenocide is a shareware vertical scrolling shoot'em up, which will
run on any RISCOS machine with 4MB RAM and RISCOS 3. An ARM 3 is the
recommended minimum processor, though it will run reasonable on an ARM 250
and possibly ARM 2. The full version requires installing to a Hard Drive.
The game runs in 320x256x8bpp (Mode13). It allows sideways scrolling too,
so maps are two screens wide.

Some of the games key features of the registered are:

* 4 Levels (Mars, Space, Alien Planet and Coastal, each with 2 stages).
* Each stage has a boss.
* A final end of game boss (In the Ice Wastes).
* Levels maps are large and can scroll left and right (map is 2
screens wide).
* On screen scanner, that shows both on screen and incoming aliens.
* Choice of 4 different ships.
* 8 Different Primary weapons.
* 9 Different Secondary weapons.
* 6 Different Support drones, each can mount various different weapons.
* 2 Super weapons.
* Fully redefinable keys, including 3 pre-defined sets.
* Joystick support.
* Saving and loading of games.
* In-game Sound and a unique beginning music track.

The Unregistered version has several of the weapons and load/save disabled.

Registration is 8 UKP (plus an 2 UKP for additional postage if ordering
from outside the UK), please see the Docs with the Un-Registered version
for more details.

Thanks for reading,
