The task was to manipulate 55 pictures; especially size, contrast and
orientation. After 12 pictures and roughly 12 minutes of work by using a
Windows XT machine I moved all the datas to the HD of my Kinetic RiscPC.
There, the job was done in a quarter of an hour. With RISC OS, the
loading and saving process just needed almost 4 mouse clicks (using
ChangeFSI). With Windows XT, it was a long, long way to go to get the
same through all this windows of its filer. May be, there is a special
software out with which it would be possible to process a mass of
JPEGs almost automatically but I don't know and think it isn't the same
because I have to check every image before saving.

Use !FSI_Batch

http://www.jochenlueg.freeuk.com/english/software.htm

to make the alterations with !ChangFSI and save the output files
somewhere different. You then examine the processed images with !Thump,
delete those you don't like and reprocess only those which need it.
Repeat until you have processed them all. I do this often.
