Me too.
With best wishes,

Sadly, due to the phrasing of the question:
"What is your personal favourite operating system for desktops and
laptops"
I had to answer "Mac OS X". By comparison RISC OS is a nice home
computer OS to play around with.

Have done so this time (and a few occasions in the past!) Mind you, given
the rough ride from BOFH a little while ago, I'm not quite sure how
Vulture Central will take it!

Me too. I was very rude though. I feel a bit bad now. I'm not normally that
rude! ...
"Do you have any specific comments relating to the latest version of
Microsoft Office 2008 for the Mac?
Nope- I bought a Mac because I wanted a Mac, why would I put Microshite on
it?"
Whoops.

I think you'll find that the vast majority of Apple users will have said
something similar: a large proportion of which were more blunt. Mac OS
users are almost as strongly advocating as RISC OS users.

Linux users, on the other hand, are known for their restraint, acceptance
of opposing viewpoints, and, above all, mild manners... ;)

Sure. Apple zealots will have said "Oh, but it's shiny! Plus, Steve
Jobs may have ejaculated over the schematics" where Linux users will have
said, to paraphrase Scott Adams, "Here's a nickle. Go buy yourself a
better OS."

I was a litte more restrained. I just said "Yes, I would recommend
OpenOffice.org instead".
