It has been a long time since I last noticed anything about a modification
to add a 2nd hard drive to a 3b1. 1. Is this modification kit still available?
2. Can it be used without the P5.1 modification (I really don't want to take
a chance on anyone modifying the mainboard)?

Thanks in advance.

DoN, I'm hoping that you're still out there, because this one is for you!

I'm resurrecting this ancient thread, because I am certain I remember you and others referring to a previously well-known procedure for modifying a 3b1 to accept a 2nd simultaneous hard drive.

I'm to a point where I would really like to try this on one of the several 3b1's that I've acquired, and I would also like to create more uniform documentation procedures for it on my MightyFrame.com website, as well as YouTube channel, once I muddle through it myself.

Would you be able to point me to these resources?

All the best always, DoN...hope you are well...

And to anyone else who may have it...thank you also!

Best,
AJ

I may have bumped into it linked on http://unixpc.taronga.com/

I had to use the Wayback machine to find it, but this MAY be what I'm looking for here:

But if you have a more updated, or "better" resource, DoN, I would certainly love to see that. Thanks so much!

Best,
AJ

Researching further, here's a "live" URL where the images are still present. They are "broken" in the previous archive.org/web archived page...
