To the best of my knowledge, the only difference between free and
cfree is that cfree does not exist on all systems that have malloc
and is NOT defined in Standard C.
cfree() is not part of standard C. You would not use it in a program that
is intended to be strictly conforming or otherwise widely portable.

If you want to know about an extension provided by your C implementation,
such as its definition of cfree(), read the manual for that implementation.
