The tar file nethack3.1.2.tar.Z on ftp.world.net and ftp.uu.net has been
updated. It now exactly matches the nethack 3 source tree of the development
team. The tar file I put up earlier was built from my local source tree,
which had some extra files and modified Makefiles, etc.
