What is the possibility of an Omega repost (missed it the first time
around) with all the bug fixes? I suppose a better question would be,
"When are the authors coming out with a new release?"

Here are a few bugs that y'all probably haven't discovered yet:

1 - You can't get on the high score list as head of a guild if you save the
game after you reach such an exalted position. The only way to do it
is to save the game, make a copy, attain the top rank & quit (thus
placing yourself on the high score list), then restart with the original
saved game.

2 - It's impossible to become a High Priest of any deity but Destiny, and
even then it's not through the normal route (try playing with ritual
magic *before* you reach Priest level).

3 - The room names are almost always wrong. What you see is rarely what you
get. This only matters if you like to use ritual magic.

4 - This is a big one: very few objects, once allocated, are ever free'd.
Rather, the pointers are just discarded. This is a tremendous waste of
space.

5 - Unique objects aren't really unique - the code to make sure that they're
created at most once is broken. The same goes for unique monsters.

6 - The damage factor displayed is not always the one that is used. This is
true for many of the special weapons.

7 - Heroism (via boots or spell) increases speed, but does not increase the
number of TCM attacks you get (as does ordinary speed).

8 - The summon monster spell makes the game ridiculously easy. It's quite
possible to win the game by playing almost exclusively on the surface.
One trip into the dungeon is all anyone needs.

Despite all of these minor problems, this is definitely the best rogue-like
game to date. Much more enjoyable than moria, hack, or ultrarogue. I'm
looking forward to the next version (rumors say it's due out any second).
