My company is looking at buying a tool that makes it possible to extract
data from DB2-databases, then eliminate customer information and use
this data for testing. So far we have only been looking at one tool,
Relational tools from Princeton Softech. We would like to know if there
are any similar tools around, that we can look at. Please get in touch
if you have any information on this. Thank you!

There are a couple of test data generation tools available I know of.
Datatect from Banner Software (www.datatect.com) and TESTBytes from
logicworks
(www.logicworks.com)

The former is ODBC compliant so you would need to make sure you could get a
driver for DB2. The latter pretty much likes to be driven off ErWIN
diagrams.

Don't know of data conversions, but both of them will fill test data with
"reasonable" data that is NOT your current data. If this is test data
anyway, you wouldn't really need to extract data from your DB2 first, just
fill with data that you want
