Is anyone here use a hosted problem/issue tracking system?

We investigate purchasing a system but were surprise at some of the cost.
We're a small company (15 people) and may opt for a host solution like
http://www.netresultscorp.com/pt_bugtracking.html or
http://www.e-spot.biz/index2.htm or
http://www.adminitrack.com/

Does anyone like these? Are good and worth it?

Take a look at ieSupportManager from www.ieComputerSystems.ie. It is
not a hosted solution but it is very reasonably priced. A FREE
evaluation is available to download from the website.

I'd recommend http://www.elementool.com They have a free option and a
cheap one!

You can see a list of bug trackers in the defect tracking forum at

I always thought that the hosting solution is only a temp solution.
If you think your project (company) is going to last longer than a few months
or a year, than adding up all the monthly fee may exceed the
one-time cost of an in house system. And, you have to be aware that,
switching a system (ie, import/export the data) is not as easy
as you think.

Suggestion:

1. If you have the skill and time, select a free, yet complete system like
Bugzilla.
2. If you do not have the skill or time, select a reasonably priced
commercial system (under $1k). Well, now days, nobody
is probably crazy enough to buy a system for over $10k.
3. Of course, if you are supprised by the cost of a mere $1k for a company
of 15 people, then, I don't know what to say.
Do you know what is the daily cost of such a company :-)

Check out Elementool. www.elementool.com - very easy to use, fully
web-based, doesn't require any installation and offers a free option.

Yeren,

I did a quick check at google and it appears that the only time you
post to this newsgroup is to advertise the elemtool product. Do you
work for them? If so, it would be appropriate to identify yourself as
an employee.

Thank you for all suggestion. After short try of Elementool and
e-Spot we go with e-spot. (It have more function.) Both product have
free option so we try that. I let everyone know how we like in few
months.
