I am looking for a source code analyzer for COBOL;
currently, I know of none.

Just in case some of the particulars matter, this is an on-line
application written in COBOL, part of which accesses an ORACLE
database; also, the application is huge: some six million lines of
source code; the platform is SP/2 (RS/6000 AIX 3.2.5).

Any recommendations?

Nick.

There is a company called Burl (sp?) software in Raleigh, NC
that markets a product called Revolve that does some type of
analysis of COBOL source code. I really don't know if it's
anything like what you might be looking for, but you may
want to contact them and see what they have to offer.

Good luck.

I posted a message yesterday about a company called Burl Software
that markets a product called Revolve for Cobol source code
analysis. I have since been told that the company was bought by
a firm called Microfocus, but the product is still called Revolve.

If you'd like to check it out, you'd probably have better luck
looking for Microfocus. My apologies for the confusion.

Yes - Burl was bought by Micro Focus a couple of years ago.
You can find Micro Focus on the WWW at

http://www.microfocus.com or

You can find information on Revolve at
