The two certifications that I am considering are
the Cerfified Quality Analyst (CQA), as offered by the Quality Assurance
Institute, and
the Cerfified Quality Manager as offered by the American Society for
Quality.
What I would like to know are, which of these organizations and their
certifications are the most widely recognized and/or sought after by
organizations.
Also, what is the relative degree of difficulty of each of the exams. I
have seen the sample questions of each, however these might not be an
accurate representation
of the level of difficulty. I would appreciate any feedback from anyone
who has sat either of these exams.
I have noticed that there are often jobs posted for people with the CQA
certification, however there is the CQA as offered by the Quality
Assurance Institute
(Certified Quality Analyst) and the CQA as offered by the American
Society for Quality (Certified Quality Auditor). I would guess
therefore that one of these is a
relatively well known designation and the other is less recognized,
however I don't know which one.
Thank you for any comments.
I can't speak for how well known QAI is but ASQ is very well and its
certifications widely accepted in industry. IMO neither is well known
in the software industry.
