Credit Card Testing

I am sure some one had to do this.
How does one test Credit Card billing?
I need to run testcases where credit limit is exceeded, or not, where
person's address does/doesn't correspond with Credit card's address.

Looks like 2 different types of tests;
1) Card/customer limits tests; payment > limit; payment + reservations >
limit; etc.
2) Customer database tests

Please be more explicit if you want further information.

Zhenya,
When I tested an e-comm web site that accepted multiple credit card types (VISA,
MasterCard etc) we developed specific test cases around the algorithims used by
our software to verify if a credit card # is valid. We also used a "credit card
verification emulator" and a test credit card verification system provided by our
credit card verification service to test credit cards. The service provided us
specific credit card #'s that would trigger, rejections, acceptions etc. We then
developed specific test cases to verify that the responses from the external
credit card verification system were properly handled by our software.
