Looking for scheduling or calendar software

I need to put together an online scheduler for classes in several labs.
I am looking for software that can be run off our LAN and that
operates in a very similar way to the Yahoo Schedule. The ones that
looked good online are often hosted on the provider's site and so we
are subject to the whims of site traffic. Also, most of our users are
not running Outlook so, even though the scheduler in Outlook does
exactly what I want, we can't take advantage of it.
