Here is the setup:
***********************************************************
ClearCase 4.0 schema 53
VOB server: Solaris 7 Unix
View server: Solaris 7 Unix (all view will be accessed throughout this
machine)
I have 1 NT server:
I have about 20 Unix client machines running( Solaris 2.6 and Solaris
2.7).
I have about 20 NT clients running.

I am using NFS Maestro on the NT clients. SAMBA doesn't seem
to solve the problem.

I can mount VOBs and see views from both the NT and
Unix systems. I can checkin and checkout files on both systems
without problem using the same view. The day to day operations
seem to work just fine.
***************************************************************
HELP!!
The Problem:
I get ^M embedded in my files and other formatting problems when
switching
platforms.
Reference the Mkview - Text Modes in the Rational Reference Manual.
Rational states that I should have two different views: this is not
acceptable.
The Unix and NT are not compatible and I need to
have my users be able to access files through the same view on the
NT and Unix machine without changing or modifying a specific view!!!!

The users can move around in a seamless (use same view) way now, except
for
the formatting problems when changing from an NT to Unix box.

I do know that you can create a view using tmode -msdos or tmode -unix
but this doesn't solve my problem. This would require I maintain 2
views.
I also can not ask the user to checkin or out files prior to changing
machines: hence writing trigger to catch the ^m problems. The user
needs
to move around to different platforms in a seamless environment for
development
and testing purposes
.
I actually have many more Unix boxes then stated above and some SGI
boxes.

I need to have 1 view that I can access on any machine and look at the
files without being concerned about which editor I am using or what
machine or OS I am on.
