Summary:
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned SCM Administrator who will
be responsible for the support and development of the SCM
infrastructure. This infrastructure is critical to our software
product development efforts and ultimately the success of the company.
In this team-based position, you will interact with members of
Development, Lab Engineering, IT and Quality Assurance to maintain and
enhance our existing SCM and development processes.
Job Responsibility:
* Provide support to Engineering teams for various projects
* Extend the configuration management system for our development
and production releases
* Rework/maintain/optimize existing configuration management
processes
* Design and develop build and release tools to increase
development productivity
* Implement various automated solutions via Ant, Ruby, Python, C/C+
+/Obj-C, Java, PHP, bash, CMD and other language/tools
* Prioritize multiple tasks based on project urgency
* Document and program manage new and existing SCM processes/
procedures
Job Specifications:
* 5+ years experience administering source code management
installation
* Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
* Work collaboratively with team and maintain regular and open
communication
* Detailed knowledge of bazaar (or another DVCS like Mercurial or
git) and its use in managing multiple parallel projects, branching and
merging
* Experience with ClearCase and CVS/Subversion
* Deep understanding of software configuration management
principles
* Experience with multi-platform (various UNIX and Microsoft)
build environments
* Experience with Ant+Ivy, Python, Ruby, C, C++, Java, shell
scripting and/or other scripting languages
* Broad understanding of programming structure (makefiles,
headers, code) and compilation process (compile, link)
