I need to read and write Arabic. Sounds pretty simple eh? Yet it's so
hard to find out how to do.
On Mac OSX, Arabic support is awful. On OS9, it's dire.
On the PC, I couldn't install Arabic support, because it asked for an
installation CD. However, my Windows came installed on the computer
and there was no install CD, only a restore CD!
It's really a nuisance. Do I need to buy Windows on a CD, in order to
get Arabic support??? Does WinXP have Arabic? I know Win98/Win95 does,
but they are kinda old...
Thanks a lot!

I thought that when we buy a new computer we have also right to have an
installation CD.
May be I'm wrong. You have to be sure about this matter and if you have
the right to it, just ask your
computer provider. About this matter, ask at: news.microsoft.com

What I know is that XP support all types of languages, you just have to
install new keyboards as on Win98/95
I just installed the Hebrew keyboard and it didn't asked for any CD !!!!!
I think you can get a better aswer than mine by asking at:
www.arabsgate.net 's forum
normally, they have an english interface of the forum
or:
news.microsoft.com
they have many Arabic newsgroups and even if they aren't very populated
may be it'll be your lucky day

Sorry, this is all I can help you with
Hope this helps a little, Best Regards and Happy New Year
