Job description:
PhD stipends at Department of Computer Science
The PhD stipends are available within the general study programme
“Computer Science and Engineering”.
Applicants are advised to contact Professor Torben Bach Pedersen or
Professor Christian S. Jensen at the Department of Computer Science
with the aim of preparing a proposal for a PhD study.
The position is available within the Center for Data-Intensive Systems
(. The position is conditional upon obtaining the sufficient funding.
The research will focus on “data management for very-large scale
electricity grids.”
Interested candidates should have following preferable competencies:
•masters degree in computer science or a closely related area, with
excellent results, preferably within data management or a related
topic.
•knowledge about/experience with business intelligence technologies,
cloud computing, large-scale distributed systems, data-intensive
systems, or sensor data management.
•very good programming skills and experiences from developing data-
intensive systems.
•fluency in written and spoken English.
•good social and collaboration skills.
•experience from collaborative research projects is an advantage.
