MANOVA handles missing data by deleting any case missing on any variable.
What's likely drawing the error message here is that your subjects probably
don't cover the entire 1-1200 range. They need to be recoded so that they
do so.

Subject: missing data in manova

I'm trying to run a manova analysis using the following command with spss
7.5 for windows:

manova bp by subject (1,200) time (1,4) with weight
/design subject, time vs 1, subject by time = 1.

I'm not sure how to handle missing data and I'm getting the following
message:

Error # 12190
There are more than one completely empty categories for one or more
factors specified on the manova command. To run the analysis in this
release, please recode the values of affected factors to sequential
integer values and rerun.

Can anyone tell me what this means please?

Thanks,
Tessa Pollard
