Tobit model in SPSS

Hello,

I need to use the Tobit model and am wondering if SPSS has
commands/syntax for Tobit. I am using version 10, Base, and searched
the syntax reference guide, but could not find any reference to Tobit.

Tobit is not available in SPSS through V11, might check SAS. If
available there, and I don't think it is, the procs are translatable.

Hi -- Stata and LimDep definitely have Tobit options in them.
Packages like SAS and S-Plus (my favorite) have matrix capabilities
that allow you to build your own Tobit from scratch if you know the
behind the scenes stuff behind the Tobit.

assalamoalikum....is it tobit anaylasis is use for primary data in spss.........anyone guide me ........i want to learn the procedure........

"SPSS does not currently have a procedure designed for Tobit analysis. An enhancement request has been filed with SPSS Development. An extension command, SPSSINC TOBIT REGR, that allows submission of R commands for tobit regression to the R package AER, is available from the Downloads section of the SPSS Developer Central web site."
