Read SPSS SAV data file

Is there any way to open and read a SPSS SAV data in Windows file
without installing SPSS?

I only need to browse the data. No need to do any analysis, and no
need to export the data to another format.

I have a web form set up here to dump out SPSS .sav files in CSV
format:

Instead of using the web form, I tried PSPP mentioned on the web page.
PSPP works like a charm for my purpose!

this PSPP looks interesting. But as far as understand it has no manovas etc
in it. right?

I know of nothing newer than what was mentioned in the original
thread in 2010 -- using PSPP.

This http://pspp.benpfaff.org/ website still functioning and useful to just visualize the .sav files.
