PASW 17 error message 1209 - problem with input or output operation

I receive this error when the PASW server tries to open a syntax file:
"File: \\NPRFil001\Data\Auto\BUP\Tools\140__Les_inn_Tvang.sps
Error detected in: GetToNL
Error: Invalid argument
File pointer: 0x74dfa060
File number: 10
Error # 1209
The host system has detected an error related to an input or output
operation.
This is an error from which the application cannot recover.
The PASW Statistics run will terminate now.
"
It seems to me that the PASW server is trying to open another (older)
version of the syntax file than the version present at the server
harddisk.
Anyone who has experienced the same error?
