Selecting data based on date AND time - newbie question

I've got data composed of surveys. As each survey is entered in, the date
and time it is entered is recorded. I want to be able to select surveys
based on the date and time they were entered. That doesn't sound like that
should be that difficult, but I can't seem to find out how to do it.

I can select by date alone, {SELECT IF(dtwritten > DATE.MDY(6,15,98))} but
not date and time.
