1993 MATLAB CONFERENCE

The 1993 MATLAB Conference will be held October 18-20 at the Hyatt Regency
in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The technical program includes seven
primary talks, 15 expository talks, nine minicourses and nearly 150

MATLAB Conference Minicourses

Minicourses, in the form of a teaching laboratory, will offer attendees the
opportunity to get a look at some of our recently released, and upcoming
products. Product developers will lead one-hour sessions that include product
introductions and problem sets. Minicourses will be offered on:

Nonlinear Control Design Toolbox
Handle Graphics, An Introduction
Handle Graphics, for the Guru
Symbolic Math Toolbox
An Introduction to SIMULINK
Chemometrics Toolbox
Statistics Toolbox
Mu Analysis & Synthesis Toolbox
Neural Network Toolbox

The MATLAB Lab

The MATLAB Lab is a computer area available to all attendees throughout the
Conference. With MATLAB products running on Unix, PC, and Mac systems, the
Lab will be a focal point of activity.

An Evening at the Boston Computer Museum

Conference attendees will be invited to a reception at the Boston Computer
Museum on Monday, October 18th. The museum will be closed to the public that
evening but attendees will have free admittance to museum exhibits.

The MATLAB Feedback session

Being held Monday afternoon, The MATLAB Feedback session is the ideal
opportunity for attendees to bring product-related issues up for discussion
with The MathWorks' top engineering developers and executive staff. This
session will give users a chance to discuss issues of concern to them in an
open question and answer format.

The International Forum

A special panel discussion on the internationalization/localization of the
MATLAB product family has been scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. This panel
will lead a general discussion of the needs of our international customers on
topics such as support for native language text, hardware platforms, software
products and support for native algorithmic conventions.
