Querying simulink blocks for parameter names?!??

Hi all.
I am going mad trying to find the correct simulink block parameters in a
model that is constructed from an m-file. The Simulink manual doesn't list
all parameters (at least what i can see), so i have to guess the names all
the time. Is there any way to query a specific block-type of it's available
parameters?

(Or more specifically for my current problem, what is the correct parameter
name for the "FromWorkspace"-block's "Hold Final Value"-parameter?)

I really appreciate any help with this since i have had this problem with
other type of block's in the past.

regards
Robert

get_param(gcb, 'ObjectParameters')

does this for you. Note that it indeed returns _all_ object parameters
which is quite a lot. The parameters you are looking for are either
listed right at the end (if they are a masked block's mask-variables) or
immediately before the "Mask..." parameters.

GET_PARAM(OBJ, 'ObjectParameters') returns a structure that describes
OBJ's parameters. Each field of the returned structure corresponds to a
particular parameter name (e.g., the 'Name' field corresponds to OBJ's
name parameter). Each parameter field itself is a structure with the

Hi

This might be useful sometimes,

>> get_param(gcb,'DialogParameters')

In your case,
(in R12)
>> set_param(gcb,'OutputAfterFinalValue','HoldingFinalValue')

Thanks alot friends!
I actually found that after one has chosen to view block-parameters in the
Simulink window, you actually see the parameters in the tooltip string.
However, i usually don't work directly in the simulink window but instead
construct the models/run it from m-files so your ways are preferable.

Thanks again

Robert
