When i attempt to use the spectrum scope in simulink i get the error " All sample times for this block must be discrete.
Continuous sample time is not allowed."

Now I know i can resolve this by having my input to the spectrum scope be discrete but then i would have to change the my model quite a bit. Is there a simulink block that will model an adc so i dont have to change my input to discrete? Or is there a way i can use the spectrum scope with "continuous" sample times?

I looked into the spectrum analizer block but it doesn't seem to work properly it only give my the time domain input but the frequency spectrum is completely zero and the documentation on that block is lacking.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

You can try using the "Zero-Order Hold" block in Simulink. You might need to check the "Buffer input" option in the scope if your input is not a frame.

Matt, can you just guide me on how to have my input to the spectrum scope as a discrete one? thanks in advance
