fft analysis using powergui block

I want to use the powergui block for fft analysis.I have set the signals as structures in the properties of the scopes and have even created the To file block to have a .mat file and get the signal to the workspace .But after running the simulation , the powergui's fft analysis smply does not display anything and the structure and input fields display 'Empty',even after importing data from the .mat file using Import Data in the file menu of fft analysis box.
Can anyone please suggest a solution to this problem, urgently.

Include powergui block in your model. Double click the scope whose output you wish to do the fft. Then click on parameters(just next to the printer icon on the scope screen window). Select History. Check 'Save data to workspace'. Write a desired name in Variable name field. Click on Apply then Ok. Simulate your model. Double click the Powergui block. Then click on 'FFT Analysis'. You can choose your signal and then click on Display
