microautobox Matlab create sdf file

After creating a model in simulink, I go to tools, real time workshop, build to generate the C code for the model so I can use it in dSPACE's control desk program. Following a tutorial on doing this I am told to open up control desk and drag and drop the .sdf file generated by RTW from the file selector to my dSPACE board icon. However I cannot find the .sdf file anywhere nor do I know if a .sdf file has been generated. Please advise
