Hi,

There's a piece of nice coding on detecting parabola using Hough:

http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/15841-parabola-detection-using-hough-transform/content/houghparabola.m

But it needs information on the coordinate of the vertex. So, I wish to know if it is possible to perform Hough Transform to detect multiple parabolas in one single image, without knowing their eccentricity.

Thank you!

I recommend using loops, so you can approximate a wide range for eccentricity values. For the coordinates of the vertex, use for loops testing for every pixel in the image. This could be computationally expensive. Please let me know if this helps.
