intersci-n does not work

I have installed scilab 5.1 on win xp sp 3. While I trying to execute
intersci-n command on scilab console it will shows follwoing message:
---->scilab-5.1/bin/intersci-n sumab.desc
!--error 4
Undefined variable: scilab

I am tried for point "2.2.2 Examples of interfaces programs" from
following link :
http://www.scilab.org/contrib/index_contrib.php?page=toolbox_guide#chap2.2
I have created .desc file but still can not get expected result.
Can anybody help me out to resolve this problem?
